Community Service Block Grant (CSBG)

The Community Action Agency of Columbiana County, Inc. is in the process of applying to the Ohio Development Services Agency-Office of Community Assistance for funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the amount of $524,126 These funds would be utilized during the period of January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2021 to address the needs of the community.

The Community Action Agency has established work plans that including funding for items such as, but not limited to:

Homeless Shelter Subsidy

Home Weatherization Assistance Program Subsidy

Supportive Service for Veterans and Families Subsidy


CAA Job Mentoring Program/Healthier Community Pantry- operating costs

Services Supporting Multiple Domains:

Transportation subsidy

Emergency Services

Agency Capacity Building:

Agency Capacity-Maximum of 25% of the budget

Income and Asset Building:

Homebuyer Pre-purchase Counseling-operating costs of counseling

Buy My Car-Match savings program to purchase a vehicle

Representative Payee program-operating costs

Civic Engagement

Youth Action Board-Staffing and participation incentives


Columbiana County One Stop Partnership

Youth Homeless Demonstration Program Community Planning
