The primary function of the individual in this position is to ride the bus, picking up and dismissing children to caregivers, following appropriate transportation procedures.
Family Advocates adhere to and follow all state child care licensing requirements and agency/program policies and procedures while carrying out their duties. Family advocates establish and track relationships with family and support involvement of parents/caregivers in the various aspects of students' education.
The Head Start Classroom Aide, in conjunction with classroom staff is responsible for providing a developmentally appropriate educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth.
The Head Start Assistant Teacher, in conjunction with the Lead Teacher is responsible for providing a developmentally appropriate educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth.
The Head Start Lead Teacher will be in a probationary period for the first 180 days of receiving the position. Job performance will be measured within 180 days of receiving the position and annually thereafter.
